What foundation, primer & powder do you use? how much is it? (I'd prefer one that I won't have to take out a bank loan every time I need a new bottle!) how long does it stay on? & does it stay on through hot days? I live in australia & its currently summer so we have 30*C+ days almost every day! (thats 86*F+ from memory, I'm not good with fahrenheit!)

I am an Urban Decay addict. I use their brightening and tightening primer ($31 US), their Naked skin foundation ($39 US), and the Naked skin pressed powder ($34 US). I sometimes use the Tarte Amazonian Clay Smooth Operator finishing powder ($34 US) instead of the UD, especially for the really hot and humid days. I have oily/combo skin and this is my favorite combination of products that I've found so far.
My second fave would be the Estee Lauder double wear foundation ($37 US). In the summertime this is my daily go to if I know I will be out and about without time for touch ups. It doesn't transfer around my face at all, stays matte, and lasts well into the night for me. When I use this foundation I like the finish best when I skip out on primer and finishing powder, it's such a long lasting product all by itself I don't need them with it at all.
I know you asked for affordable options but I have not had any luck with drug store brands so I'm not of much help there. Hope you find your perfect match soon!

I use the revlon colorstay whipped foundation it ranges from $10-14 depending were you buy it. It's a full coverage and last all day. I love it! I have also heard great things about the Covergirl 3-1 (it's next on my but list) (:
For primer I like the rimmel fix and perfect ($6-8) goes on so soft and helps my makeup stay longer.
For powder the rimmel stay matte is amazing ($4-6) the only down is the packaging but it's so amazing I keep repurchasing (:

Rimmel stay matte primer is excellent for summer days I use it sometimes instead of my Mac prep&prime! For foundation as I have an oily skin I was never able to find a drugstore foundation that will not make me oily so I had to go for Mac studio fix fluid! And I also heard Estée Lauder lasts even longer 15 hours? They just didn't have enough shades for my skin tone.

I like the Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation. With the Airspun loose powder. But you could also use the Rimmel Stay Matte primer for more help with oil control
