I have really oily skin, especially around my T-zone, and I was told not to exfoliate when you have oily skin, but then other people told me you should! So now I'm really confused, should you exfoliate or not?!

You can exfoliate cos i have oily skin too. Just use a less harsh exfoliatir with fine beads. Don't do it everyday cos you'll over stimulate your skin so it'll just produce more oil. Hope that helps as i learned that at college :)

The only ones who should watch with exfoliating are those with dry or sensitive skin. In that instance I'd suggest a sugar based exfoliator bc it's a little more forgiving.
As for you (and I've held sales positions in the industry since I've been 18...currently going on 24), is to go with an exfoliator that has tea tree, lavender, or some citrus derivitive. Tea tree is a natural anti-septic/fungal, so if you have acne as well that will nip it in the butt. On to lavender, it balances the sebum which is basically the oil your skin secretes & almost mattifies it

I have EXTREMELY oily skin and I find that exfoliating my skin about 3 times a week, it helps my skin!!! Just be sure to use a gentle exfoliater that isn't to abrasive for your skin, that will just strip your skin of any oil and make it produce even more!! Make sure you moisturize your skin also to keep it balanced!!
