Do you already have color on your hair? If so, and it's darker than that picture, you won't be able to get to it. Color can't lift color. However! I would say go to sally's if you have one near you. I wouldn't trust a box from the drug store to get you ashy. They usually pull really warm. But at sally's you can ask them their suggestions as well. But I know the Ion brand there comes out with some good results!

If you want to go ash, you'll need to tone out the warm. If your hair pulls red, counter it with green. If it pulls brassy/orange, tone it with indigo.
That is a pretty light brown, and Megan is correct that dye won't lift dye. If your hair is darker, you'll need to lift with a lightener (bleach) first. This is the general process: lift (level), tone (hue), color (shade). It is possible to do all of this on your own, but you should talk to someone at your beauty shop (Sally or similar) to get specific product recommendations based on your hair.

I should mention that this is not something that should be attempted with box dye.
