I normally get a brazilian wax with hard wax. One time I was waxed using Nufree and it felt so hot. Afterwards my skin was extremely tender for a few days and looked kind of dark. This was the third time I had ever gotten a brazilian wax, and the only time it was done with muslin strips. I was considering getting a wax again with the Nufree system since I have a groupon, but I'm nervous. Was this likely an allergic reaction or was the temperature too hot? Or was it because of the strips? I've read that Nufree hair removal can't burn you because it doesn't go above 98 degrees. I do have sensitive skin, but Nufree is supposedly good for that. Also the woman who did the wax was skilled and everything was clean. I really appreciate any help. Thanks so much!! :)

If the wax has any added ingredients, you may be reacting to that. Or, it could be that the wax adhered a little too well and pulling it off caused bruising.
If you have had success with a different method, I'd stick with that. If this was an allergic reaction, there's a chance that it could be more severe the second time.

Thanks Emily! I hadn't thought about the possibility of a more severe reaction, but you're right. I'm going to contact the aesthetician for more information :)
