Is it better to dye your hair on unwashed hair? 1 or 2 days without washing??

I dye my hair on 2nd or 3rd day hair. But it works either way.

I think it's best to do with fresh washed hair. Like if I wash my hair the night before I'm okay with dying it the next morning. Or if I washed it in the morning I'll dye it that night. I wouldn't want the oils from unwashed hair to alter the dye at all. And then this was I can have the new dye sit in my hair for a few days before having to wash it. Because you should try to go a few days with no washed after dying it.

I don't think it really matters. Supposedly if you dye your hair dirty it'll keep it from being less damaged. I don't know about that seems to come out the same with both dirty and clean hair. Color and damage wise.

I'd assume it would be better on freshly washed hair just because the product would get soaked in more evenly than if there was already natural oils in some parts of the hair :)

It's better to do it on unwashed hair, about 3 days. :) personally I can't go without washing my hair so I do it on clean hair but it is better when theirs some oil build up to prevent damage and sometimes provide more longevity for the colour.
