You should get a keratin infused hair mask and use it according to the bottle do not overuse though and too much keratin can be a bad thing for your hair but I think getting like a argon oil or macadamia oil mask would be useful I got a amazing one from the poundshop (sounds cheap but it's brilliant!)

Clean your straightener with a cotton ball with some alcohol. You need to get the burned hair and product off it and it should help with the smell its leaving. Also to prevent the smell on your hair turn down your straighteners heat setting. It will take a little longer to do your hair but at least your not frying it!
