Maria, what kind of foundation do you use? Is it liquid? Cream? Powder?

I like the Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush, actually. It's nice, it doesn't sheer out foundation or give a streaky finish. Really nice coverage.

A sigma roundtop kabuki or a cheaper alternative is the real technique buffing brush.

I loved the UD Brush but it shed sooooooooo bad! I even returned it and had the same issue with the new brush... Anyways I love Sephora's #56 Brush and they also make a brush that is practically identical to the UD one (can't remember the # but it says mineral and looks like UD's) but this brush doesn't have the shedding issue. I loved UD don't get me wrong, but the shedding was ridiculous after about two maybe three months of use.

Here it is. Sorry it says Powder Multitasker not Mineral, but it works just like Urban Decay's did and I know it says powder, but its great for liquid...

I love the UD Optical Blurring Brush! It's amazing! I'm a brush junkie- also love Royal and Langnickel Silk Pro flat brush and the MAC duo fibre large stipple brush. I just bought the Elf Small Stipple for around the eyes and for 3 dollars, that is a great brush for working small areas.

@Alex see thats what I thought but I returned it and had the same problem with the new brush... Idk I loved it but the shedding was so bad and it didn't start out that way, but after about three months the shedding started giving me hell lol

My UD brush hasn't shed either! And I'm hard on my brushes- I have used that one almost everyday for a month. I quick clean them too because I don't like the foundation to build up.

@Jenni, yes it is weird because of how many people love it and I do too, minus the shedding. But, again I didn't have an issue until a few months of use, the first month was amazing then I slowly starting noticing the shedding. I just like warning people because I went through two of them and both sadly, had the same problem. I was also very gentle and washed them carefully too...

I'm hoping mine hold up- I know that sometimes there are batches of brushes that aren't up to the usual quality. I have had the brush for about 4-5 months- I didn't use it much until the last month. I know people rave about the Real Techniques and I had the handle snap off after a couple of weeks so not sure if I got a defective brush.

I have a short kind of stiff kabuki brush from quo I love but honestly don't know if it's even available now. I usually use my makeup sponges , again by quo and they only cost five dollars! Never really liked brushes myself as I find that they leave weird streaks on my face.
