Out of curiosity (I don't contour so I'm a little clueless...) what would be the point of a contouring kit versus a contouring powder? Take the Anastasia kit, for example, why do you need three different "contouring" shades (I use the word contouring loosely for this palette since I've looked at it in store and find it very warm toned)?

The smashbox contour kit, which I got yesterday and happens to be the only contour lot I've every used lol.

Aw thanks. See I just wasn't sure what the point of so many different shades is...if one works, that's the one you use, right?

Exactly my logic, I was just curious though =)

Hannah, I think that with a contour kit, sometimes bronzers can be included and different intensities of contour can be useful, especially for certain areas of the face (lighter for nose, darker for cheekbone.) Different highlights can be because some have shimmer and some don't. :)

I don't by kits. I just buy a cooled tone pressed powder a few shades darker than me. does the same thing. the only kit or duo I had was the elf one which is really warm.
