I know it doesn't sound like much, but I recommend trying lower line eyeliner. It really changes the whole look, and you can make it interesting by using colors and winging it out from the bottom lashline as well. Other than that, maybe try a pretty gradient eye, with 3 or so complimentary colors and a deep outer corner?
