Bleaching powder expiration?

Hi ladies, I was wondering if anyone knows how long an unopened packet of bleach powder stays good before it expires? I've had some for a while now and though it's in opened I have no idea if it is still good or not.

Bleaching cause damage, I'm sure you already knew that.. don't let anyone tell you that you can't bleach, that's completely up to you. But your question, I honestly don't know... I'd Google it if I were you.

If its un opened its good bleach powders last a long time mix some with developer and test it out with a hair strand!
