I think Jacqlyn was trying to say that lemon is often a misconception of a "skin lightening" product while it is it is very damaging to the skin and someone always suggests it and she was trying to stop it before it even became a suggestion or idea therefore making it a credible statement having to do lots with the subject =)

Jacqlyn is right about not using lemon. It can make it worse. There's nothing wrong with giving advice on the does and donts...

Lemon would have been a suggestion if it hadn't been preempted lol! Thanks Jacqlyn and everyone else who contributed as I have some scarring as well and know how upsetting it is when your skins finally clear but you've still got yet another issue to deal with:(

Somebody would have suggested lemon had Jacqlyn not preemptively struck for sure lol:)

@sandy T. Jacqueline was just trying to inform her that lemon is damaging because most people suggest to use it. And she never posts just to post. She always says something meaningful and helpful

Hydroquinone isn't a good product to use on your skin. It's banned in most of the world, including the European Union, because it has been linked with cancer, and now the FDA has proposed a ban too. Stick with what Traci suggested, vitamin c is very effective without causing more damage.

Jacqlyn is absolutely right and Bree is as well I don't recommend lemons or hydroquinone for brightening there are more gentle effective ways to fix hyperpigmentation.

That's a personal choice hun, I don't feel comfortable recommending something that's about to be banned here and already prohibited is most other countries, especially not to a younger girl it's basically bleach , that's is why your only supposed to be on it a short period of time because of the effects it can have on your liver and other organs , but because I don't choose to recommend it doesn't mean it's not being used

Well tons of over the counter products have hydroquinone in it and it's so strong it can bleach your clothes, when you get it from the dermatologist , they do give you the right information on how long it should be used so if your going to go that route I definitely would only go thru a derm,

Glad to hear you had good results with it hun.

Lol are you letting the dermatologist do it?

Well be careful hun , you can do more damage than good if you go to hard , good luck
