Where's the best places to get it? Any good brands? I'm taking out red dye, I also have dye buildup underneath. Is there a specific kind? I'm doing it myself, as I do all of my other hair things, so I don't need any "salon expertise" as I am not going to a salon. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! <3.

So it won't get rid of the color buildup?

I use the Loreal Colorzap to remove red, brown and purple. It's a bit more potent than the Loreal color oops at the drugstore. The Colorzap would really well and it's $10 at Sally's.

I assume it would because you can apply up to 3 times...you'd just have to watch your hair I did a test strip first

I guess I'll just get the red out, I'm going to dye it back brown and finally let it rest after years of constant dying. Thanks for the info girls! <3.

I strongly suggest loreal color oops. it completely removed the black I had in my hair leaving it like a brown orangy color I liked it I left it like that but I think you are suppose to dye it after

I got really tired of it really fast. Touching up my roots every week was annoying, and I recently got bangs and I feel like a clown because they look stupid. I'm going to do a natural color for awhile, trust me, I'll be back to dying my hair crazy colors in a few months!
