I want to dye my hair a Burgundy or dark red color but I don't want to use bleach how can I get my hair Burgundy without bleach, and also will a 40 developer lighten my hair can I use that to turn my hair Burgundy ????

A developer is used to activate the bleach, and if you want a dark red I would try henna you have to leave it in 24 hours but my friend swears by it and she doesn't bleach her hair like me

No..use loreals hicolors don't use henna or any of that crap it has a nasty looking orange undertone and the color is really ugly. Anyways hicolors is specifically made for dark hair and you do not need to use bleach. I used to use magenta. Keep in mind that of course first use won't turn your hair as bright as the display so I'd go with magenta my hair was a very pretty burgundy color during the process of getting it brighter
