I have very thick hair, and if I doesn't straitened it, I look like a troll. My hairdresser says that I should try not to straitened it, because it damages my hair, mostly the splits, but I can't stand the troll hair. Anyone have a good advice for not to straightened it as much?

Try Lanza Trama Treatment. Use it once a week. It will make a huge difference. I used this after I got my hair colored back to blonde from black. I used it after every shower for a week an my hair went from straw to silk. I believe you can get it after sephora. If not look up a local salon that sells it. Do you have any natural wave or curl to your hair?

Straightening is fine as long as you use a heat protectant. I use the Paul Mitchell's skinny serum to straighten my hair.

I have the same problem, when I do straighten my hair I tuck it into a shower cap so I can be clean and not have to straighten it as much. Otherwise I usually do French braids and low buns and top knots every so many days of the week

So in other words my hair stays straight for two days and then I do other hairstyles the rest of the week.

use a heat protecting spray or serum. try to avoid blow drying as well. if you can, let your hair air dry before you straighten it. also make sure you have a nice ceramic straightener. sounds like you get plenty of use out of your straightener so invest in one with temp control and keep it no the lowest setting that your hair will respond to.

I use heat protection spray and serum, but I doesn't seem to work that much? :/ I have a ghd straightener, it's great, but my hair still seems to split in the ends, a lot.

Use a heat protectant. It helps to keep it from splitting so badly. You could try French braids and other braids on certain days to save ur hair from damage

There's a lot of cute braids out there give them a shot specially if you have long hair. Every couple of days try braids so you don't have to straighten it

I would try keratin or turn down the heat on your straightener or blow dry your hair straight and definetly make sure you have good heat protectants

Try wrapping it at night or don't put it up in a ponytail or bun so you don't have to straightening it everyday

After taking a shower put leave in conditioner and then section your hair in 2 parts to make ballerina buns it really helps with thick or frizzy hair. When it is fully dried put a braid in your hair and when you let it loose at the end of the day say a party or dance, your hair will be smooth and it will look soft and controlled

I straighten my hair everyday but use a really nice heat protectant; you can get it at any local hair store!
