I have very dry skin. no matter how much moisturizer I put on, every foundation dries up my skin and shows all my dry flakes. I have freckles so I'm not looking for full coverage, sheer would be better. any suggestions? I heard mac face and body was amazing for hydrating with a sheer finish.

Use cream cleanser, Exfoliate, use a toner, use a face oil, then apply your moisturizer, apply primer, then apply foundation.

Try a chemical exfoliant! I use the 8%bha exfoliant from Paula's choice and it worked wonders for me! Whenever I wore make up I'd always get dry flakes no matter what I did and this got rid of them completely!
