Matrix do a brand of hair care treatments like colour last shampoos and conditioners... my hair is that colour and it helps a lot, I think the brand is called biolage.. thats here in the uk and ireland anyway but any good quality hair care colour treatment should help :)

I'm a licensed cosmetologist and the #1 thing I can recommend that everyone with colored hair can afford is to wash and rinse in cool water! washing in warm or hot leaves the haor cuticle open for color to wash out! washing in cool/cold closes the cuticle so color is locked in longer. also sulfate free shampoo is a good factor too.

Definitely use shampoo for red hair, you can get this at sallys. also I would recommend finding a veggie dye (which isn't harmful) to refresh the color every month or so.
