I received a sample of the Dior Star foundation and at first application I was very disappointed in the outcome. It just looked blah on me. Well, this morning my daughter who is a MUA sat me down and told me I was applying it completely wrong. After she applied it the correct way I was blown away with the finished look.
Key tips when using this foundation...
1) Do not apply over primer
2) Make sure skin is well moisturized
3) Do not apply an illuminating powder all over ( I applied my beloved Guerlain Meterorites and it contributed to a not so pretty finish)
4) Do not use fingers to blend in foundation...use either a beauty blender or damp latex wedge sponge
5) Set foundation with a finely milled powder (my daughter used Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder in #4 peach on my t-zone)
I was so shocked by the outcome I went out and picked up the full-size. I was so quick to completely walk away from this foundation but my daughter reminded me once again that it isn't always the product in error but its all in the application.
