Hi everyone,
I currently use garniers flat iron heat protectant spray. I've noticed that I've been getting a lot of split ends and I think its because the spray isn't doing its job. I straighten my hair once a week so I don't use a lot of heat on it.
Do you have any recs for a awesome heat protectant and any products or tips to help prevent split ends?
thanks in advance!

You might have your flat iron set too high.

Using an oil heat protectant will help protect the ends more than a spray just make sure to concentrate product towards the end.

When did you get your last haircut? Is it possible that they used scissors that were not the sharpest. That causes split ends as well. My hair dresser explained that to me, and how cutting hair in a non-perpendicular angle can also catalyze split ends.

Then it could be it. I would suggest you get it trimmed again. There are a number of ways they can cut your hair at a 90 degree angle and still have it layered if you want it layered. It's all about the scissors and the angle.

@Mariana I think I'll get it trimmed today if I have time. I also noticed that when I got it cut that time that she missed some split ends while she was cutting.
