Does everyone need primer or is to just for certain skin types. I had never used primer until 2 days ago when I thought I'd give it a go under my Estée Lauder double wear... I have dryISH skin and I can't really tell if the primer has made a difference. If it's not really for my skin type, then I'll stop using :)

Every skin type is suitable for primer. primer is to help keep makeup in place & last all day.

I agree with the ladies comments above. Some foundations wear better with one and some are better without though. It's all trial and error until you find what works best for you. When I bought my Estee Lauder double wear I asked the associate helping me if they would recommend a primer to go with it and I was told that with this foundation it wears better throughout the day without one. I use primer with all of my other foundations, but not with the eldw as it seems to make it transfer more easily.

I personally don't use it or like it. I have very oily skin and I find it just makes it worse in the long run. Sure at first it looks really nice and gives my foundation a matte finish but it makes it wear off quicker for me.

@Jenna, you're probably not using the right one for your skin type then.
