Short dresses are a no-no, it's not a cocktail, it's formal. long dress for sure, no boobs out or high slits. you're going to be around high ranking officers and their wives so don't try be sexy cuz you don't want to be that wife! don't wear really high heels cuz you'll be there a while. remember it's not about you but about your soldier... fellow military wife:) my hubby is a Marine.

I agree with Zahira...my step-dad is a retired Army man and those events are definitely formal. I've seen pictures of all the balls he's attended with my mom and all the women wore formal gowns. As a military spouse you are looked upon as well even though you aren't enlisted. Its a totally different environment in comparison to cilivian life. They follow their own set of unspoken rules.

Thank you ladys so much for the advice and I wasint gowing for short its going to be floor langs and I was going to get straps and ikr he's a marine my dads a marine and my mother is a retired marine as well so I come from a full familly of them.

Oh yAsmine I almost went to an army ball dress sexy but classy I'd go with red or black. God bless your husband for serving. I plan on being an army nurse to make sure the men and women arrive safely home to their loved ones.
