So I went to sephora today and picked up the lip tar. I was expecting it to be very pigmented and bold like the photos on beautylish. it's more watery than anything. any tips or tricks? (I got the color called interlace)

Use the lip brush that comes with it n don't be afraid to layer it.

You have to shake them thangs! lol.
no seriously though, they seperate and you have to shake them up..and I think the brush is mandatory. I know some ppl prefer their fingers but I'm not one of them. the brush applies the product best for me.

Is that happening with the lighter colors? I have some almost a year old but they are darker colors and I don't shake them at all.

That's weird Sarah. I have a few. mostly bright and one I consider light on me because I'm Brown skin..
I let all the air in I can. shake em. them squeeze out the excess air and close. that usually will keep it from separating again too soon..

Well they are 100% natural n vegan so I would assume they have an expiration date after a while but yeah I've never had a problem with mine.
