Hey everybody!
I'm not normally short of makeup ideas but I realized that, for everyday casual looks, I always do the same things.
How can I change it up a bit without it being too "evening"? I'm going for simple looks...I've been doing a lot of bold lips and leaving my eyes pretty much bare.
Any suggestions? What do you do when you're in a rut?
You can see what I usually do with my makeup in my pictures here... I'm so boring lately...help!
Thanks in advance! <3

My first bit of advice is to get your makeup stash organised so you can see everything and access everything easier. I did this and find I switch up my looks a lot more before and have got a bit more adventurous (within reason, I still have to think about work :P)
My second idea is to pick a random product from your stash and tell yourself that you have to use that in today's makeup.
Or how about learning a new skill? Never cut a crease? Try that! Never done a smokey eye? Try that!
Maybe think about playing up the eyes a bit more if you've been doing bold lips. Start with neutrals and then experiment.
I also find watching Youtube tutorials helps too. I recently discovered the channel Shameless Fripperies which has really inspired me to try some different looks and products too.
Hope that helps a bit and gives you a few ideas :)

I'd really like to see you do the "tough" makeup you did a little while back too. It would look really lovely in some coppery colours too and I don't think it would look to evening either.

Don't think about what you're going to do.
Just grab a brush, a color and start working. When I think about what I'm going to do I never accomplish anything other than bold lips lol.

Yay! I organized my makeup in a different way 2 days ago and I love the new way!
Thank you for your suggestions! Cut crease, smokey eye... it just seems like...much, for a casual day at university to me. I do go for bold looks when I go out, I just have a problem with changing up my casual makeup! if that makes sense.
Anyway I'll definitely try out the "pick a random product" technique. Seems fun! Thank you so much :)

I know, right, Kitty? I'll definitely follow your advice too!
I'm about to watch Edward Scissorhands for the millionth time, maybe Winona will inspire me! Or all those pastels in the movie! We'll see!
Thank youuuu

Just go for something You would never do haha, add a pop of color whenever you can on the waterline or inner corner, or do gradient eyes with unusual color on the lid stuff like that.
Like last week I did a cut crease (well attempted) and added winged liner and I honestly hated how it came out but then people were noticing and complimenting it and I realized it didn't look bad it's just I'm used to something so change is scary lol
