Help me choose a highlight and hairstyle.

I have decided to finally cut my hair since all my layers have overgrown and it's a mess:D. Instead of opting for the same old layers which I always do, are there any styles which will suit me without losing my length?

I was also thinking of adding some colour to my black hair. I was thinking of adding some deep red peekaboo streaks to my hair, what do you think ladies? All suggestions are welcome and pics would be helpful:).

This is my hair, it's much longer now... more than waist length and my hair is naturally this wavy.

I'm not sure about a style as you've said you don't want to lose length but I think a long, layered bob with a side swept fringe would really suit you! I chopped all my hair off about 6 months ago and it's more versatile than you think.

Anyway, in regards to colour, I think red would look really pretty or some caramel coloured ballyage highlights would also look nice.

For the rest of the style, I'm not sure how to switch up layers without losing length. You could go for a dramatic V cut so you keep length but also get face-framing layers?

And I think deep red highlights would look fantastic. Couldn't find good pictures (all were like really artificial red) but balayage highlights look fantastic on long, wavy hair!
