That is true, products with collagen take care of our skin and make it radiant, smooth and younger. As we age, collagen production decreases leading to an increase in fine lines and wrinkles and a decrease in smoothness and suppleness of the skin. The protein, collagen, functions in maintaining integrity, firmness and elasticity of the skin. Collagen helps provide firmness and elasticity to our skin, as sagging and wrinkling occur without it. Essential nutrients are needed for collagen production and can be obtained from natural sources in other words collagen helps in maintaining integrity, firmness and elasticity of the skin. Cucumber, celery, avocados, green tea, carrots and many more are best source of collagen. I am using facial masks which are rich in these natural ingredients.

Collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed through the skin...

Our own body creates the collagen but we can quickly destroy it by maintaining a a collagen damaging diet ( eating too much sugar for one). Collagen in skincare only makes the product feel good for user when it comes to application. As Emily mentioned collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin. Though there is soluble collagen in which the molecules are broken down into smaller molecules which can penetrate the skins surface but even then it is unable to attach itself with your skins collagen wall. And most mamufactures of skincare aren't going to list if you have soluble collagen or not so I wouldn't place much weight on that mask.

I agree with what Emily said. Use a retinol cream, it'll help to boost collagen production rather than try to replace lost collagen
