I LOVE that style and yes it can be for summer. Just wear a lighter fabric sweater or cardigan. Or like people said, a kimono. The picture Corinne posted (pink shorts, white top, dream catcher necklace) what she's wearing over it is a kimono. I almost bought the exact one for a friend :

I love kimonos but I've always wondered if they are borderline cultural appropriation or not , so I wouldn't wear one , even though many of them are gorgeous! I love huge cardigans too

I feel like they kind of ruined the cultural "thought" to kimonos by making them all fashionable and selling and stuff but I still like them to much to not wear them... Hah hope that didn't sound rude but yes I kinda agree Isabel and understand why you wouldn't wear them. Like maybe those who actually wear them for their culture find it disrespecting? Idk now I am more curious about it.
