Make sure you know a lot about mac's organizations.. back 2 mac, viva glam, mac aids fund etc. The more knowledge you have about mac the better. Make sure you know the history and the co founders and when they were bought out by Estee Lauder. Make sure your color matching is spot on and if you get to choose your own model that you use someone who has young, non problematic skin. When asked to demonstrate a red lip usually they are looking for a classic red including their cherry lip liner. When asked to do a night look go for smokey eyes. Some stores ask you to recreate a look that they have chosen for you. All stores are different. Be professional and dress as if you have the job, meaning wear all black. Give feedback to your model explaining placement and why you have chosen your colors for them. Also at the end tell them that you are going to pull there essentials for them then ask which additional products they would like to purchase. Act as though your model is your client. Teamwork is essential and the most sought after asset in working for Mac in addition to skill set. In any interview, make them want you. Tell them why you are valuable and make sure you have questions prepared for them. The more product knowledge you have the better. Hope this was helpful and good luck!
