So I have a quick question, is it supposed o make your break out more first, like is that part of the process? because I felt like proactiv was working for me then I broke out and immediately stopped using it. What's your take on this?

Kaitlyn C.
It was just weird cuz I got more of the kind of pimples that really hurt. (they're like inside the skin or something) and I rarely ever had those type. I would get white heads. I got scared that itd get worse and just stopped using it lol maybe I'm being a little dramatic.

Similar to the experience I had with my acne medication, I broke out horribly but after that, my skin cleared up in about two or three months, came all the way from huge cystic pimples and whiteheads to about one or two cystic spots around that time of the month. Like you said, it gets worse before it gets better! Keep you chin up! I'm excited to see an update! How does the Dr.Lin daily hydrating gel work?!? I use the CeraVe and I love it to pieces but I want to try more moisturizers!

Yes, omg I feel your pain.. And I'm glad I know what its called now lol. Does accutane have to be prescribed? & do you know what the most common product dermatologist recommend to most patients?
Jun 5, 2014
Isabel M.
Kaitlyn, I know you aren't asking me but accurate is generally prescribed to patients with severe or really intense acne, or patients who have no seen results from any of the other acne medications! You do have to go to the derm to get prescribed any acne medication! What I have found being recommended a lot is tretenoin and clindomiacin , which I use both of, as well as my sisters and my mom! We all had separate visits!

I am very curious about accutane. I don't have acne at all, but I heard accutane causes birth defects if you happen to get pregnant in a certain amount of time after being on it. Is that true?

Can't wait until the end result! Acne is absolutely dreadful and I feel like it takes away the fun from make up.
Always worrying about what foundation has coverage, what concealer conceals, etc.etc! By the time you get to all the fun lip colors and eyeshadows you are so dead beat from working on getting 'flawless' skin that you have no interest.
I say toast to the future of fun make up in Jacqlyn's life full of colors and creativity and out with all the 'hiding'nonsense!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

@Jacqlyn: oh okay, well that's good that it only stays for 6 months!

Consider using Eucerin on your cheeks if they are sensitive. Eucerin is a VERY gentle brand that is even recommended to Rosacea sufferers. It helps reduce redness and irritation:)
