Sobi was looking into semi-permanent hair dyes and I really liked the color atomic turquois by manic panic but I'm not goingvto bleach my hair before I use it just straight on my dark hair has anyone ever done it before? I seen pictures of it and I like how suttle the color looks its not toooo much but just enough my hair is very dark brown.

Yes, it is a wonderful company. But I advise you research that color and read review. I do think that with any color lighter than you hair you should bleach. But if it works it works and if it doesn't you learn. Good luck.

Ugh I hate hate hate Manic-Panic. It sucks (for me). I had that color and it faded pretty quickly to a gross color. I don't like it.

I heard it stains easy so make sure the towel, pillow case, and other stuff around your head isn't that special.

It does stain incredibly easy. The beginning color is gorgeous, but most Manic Panic colors do fade to an ugly color after a month or two so if you do choose to dye it with Manic Panic dye make sure to give it good upkeep.

I love it , I use purple haze over my dark brown almost black hair and it gives the prettiest hint of color.

I used a purple one over my black hair a few years ago. I absolutely loved the color. only issue was it stained my clothes & towels for weeks. like it would just rub off on my clothes lol. I read that it could be because I just put too much in my hair, though. some of the colors do stain more than others, so justlook online :)

Almost every brand unnatural hair dye will have some rub off (mainly towels and pillowcases from rubbing against your hair). I have tried Splat, Manic Panic, Ion Brilliance, Special Effects, & Punky. Splat was extremely messy to use and I struggled to get an even application with Punky and Ion. Special Effects has great reviews on practically ever color except Pimpin' Purple (which is what I used & had HELLISH run off but would try another color). I have had the most consistent results with Manic Panic (which I am going back to after trying other options) even though I had to refresh color every 4 weeks or so to keep color vibrant. It is affordable and easy enough to color so I don't really mind. I use sulfate-free shampoo and only wash my hair every 3 days. I have dark, thick hair so I have to lighten to get a vibrant result but I only have to re-lighten my roots every 12 weeks or so. Hope this helps!
