Coffin is the big favourite atm. Or you could always go with a simple stiletto?

What is considered grunge nail style? I ask because I'm curious since I actually lived in that so called grunge 90s times and never heard of grunge nails.

Ahahahahha I actually failed, this was a message for my friend whoop I thought maybe making black matt nails, that what I said doesn't exist hahah I dunno, you know not too much black and goth, like red or some natural colors, I can't find a right word for it.

I'm with Alma, the "90s grunge" was my era. Never heard of that nail style but mine were always red or black and chipped up like crazy lol

I think it's because nail art wasn't really big in the 90s. Nobody wore false nails like we do now. I think if you want to stay true to the era, then go for chipped black nails. Or alternatively, you could add studs, mesh, or that big yellow smiley face symbol everyone was into.

I hear you Gypsy ;-) as for fake nails and nail art that was always in but because of social media you see it all the time since we didn't have that back then and for smiley faces I can't really say that was in either I would say that was more of a late 60s thing. Thanks for explaining the grunge nails,I just couldn't wrap my mind around that lol.

Lol Alma is right the "don't worry be happy" smiley face wasn't a popular thing in the 90s. We wore a lot of flannel shirts, ripped jeans and combat boots..pretty much the same thing I rock now lol and to this day my nails are still usually chipped up lol!

Lol Gypsy! It's so strange to see the thoughts of what people think the whole grunge thing was about, it's nothing how most try to replicate now the version being portrait now is not even close to it.There was no Glamour to it.

My mistake, was just sharing what I learnt from studying fashion eras. I was thinking more of the Acid House Smiley which was big in '88 and kept going into the '90s rave scene in the UK. Perhaps it was more punk than grunge, though.

I actually know what your saying Meghan,I actually have a couple of the happy acid house CDs I'll take a snap shot of it when I get home. The fascinating thing about being young is you explore all aspects around you and the memories stick of all your adventures.
