Hey Girls, so I've just coloured my hair and despite blathering my forehead with vaseline to prevent staining, I've still managed to come away with some dark stains along the hairline... I've tried the nail polish remover but haven't had any luck. If any of you have any suggestions for removing them, it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
xx

When ever this happens I use my toner. I've found when it comes to dyeing my hair to put foundation around my hair line as this acts like sort of a barrier, and okay you still get a slight stain but it isn't as noticeable then afterwards I use toner. I've found Vaseline never worked for me :(

My mom actually recommended the same thing Ben said when I had it happen to me. Sounds gross but it worked!!

The last time I dyed someone's hair black I dost wear gloves and my hands were all stained... I used some baby oil and a washcloth and it took it all off. Don't know if you would want to put that on your face though :)

Oh yeah baby oil too lol. I usually take off my eye makeup with that works great to break up all that.

At the salon we used and alcohol based remover so I just use alcohol on a cotton ball and it works fast. Cigg ashes work too.

I dyed it black, so staining was probably inevitable :/ Ben, that sounds totally bizarre - but if it works I'm all for it! Thanks all, I'm writing down all the tips for future reference ;) xx

For future reference, hydrogen peroxide on a cotton pad gets hair dye off skin. I dye my sisters hair black and upkeep. I hold a soaked cotton pad for 20-30 seconds than lightly scrub it and it comes right off. Cigarette ash never worked for me. It has for others and other people using it on me, but I've never had it work for myself lol.

Thanks Alyx - I've tried the hydrogen peroxide before and didn't work for me, but thanks anyway :) x
