I really like loreal hi color to dye my hair red and then to refresh the color and touch up I like mixing ion color brilliance brights in red and mix it with manic panic. for shampoo and conditioner I'd invest in sulfate free and color safe conditioner. you can always take any leftover dye and mix it with your conditioner. also try not to use as much heat on your hair (:

I'm not so sure about Loreal Jesse C. But there is a product at Sally's I've seen this girl use. It's that exact same color. The trick is, though, you have to dye your hair once then let it set one night. And then dye it again the next day. The final results come to a color just like that. One second I will give the link I seen this video from. And thank you Dorothea S! I will try this. I'm just making sure I do my research first. I don't want to ruin my hair.

I'm pretty sure if you mix magenta with 40 volume developer than maybe you can. in order to achieve the brightness of that though she probably pre-lightens her hair if you pre-lighten your hair a bit (and I'm not talking like bleach blonde) than apply Ions color brilliance I'm sure you could get that color.

I'm thinking about mixing this color she used with a different type of red because I'm not really feeling that kind of orangy look.

From my experience if you mix it with magenta the color fade out isnt bad. Before I touched up my color I had magenta in my hair and it faded out a reddish brown. (more brown looking) if thats what youre going for. also if you go into the store don't be put off by the brightness of the hair swatches.

Okay. Sounds good. Where can I get magenta?

Loreal Hicolor Hilights in Magenta. I usually go to Sallys and buy it. Note that the tubes arent that big and yes you do mix it with developer so there's more product to use but if you have thick long hair I'd buy at least 3 boxes.

Lol yes. My hair is very thick and it goes down to my waist.

Lol you should definitely invest in 4 boxes minimum then. Just from my own experience I'd rather pay more and have the extra product then to run out in the middle of a dye job.

You can mix in some Manic Panic into your conditioner to help maintain the red after you've dyed it.

I had bright red hair (miss it so much and this is what I did)
1. Use a bleach and lightning kit (purchased from stinky fish online)
2. After that I dyed my hair using live xxl colour (the brightest red they had)
3. Then I use la directions hair dye which you apply to your hair wet. You can buy this too of stinky fish which is not expensive and a little goes a long way.
4. To keep my hair looking vibrant when my hair started to fade a little I would mix the left over directions hair dye with conditioner and leave it on my hair for ten minutes.
Directions hair dyes are brill on your hair!
