Honestly I don't believe there is much difference. both probably have the same formula but for marketing reasons they will label one as "extra" to get the consumer to buy it. marketers use this language to scam people into buying more of their products so beware of the products you see or buy. In that case I recommend just trying them out which is the only way to know if they are different for sure or if one is really stronger than the other.

I have used both and the original worked really well for me when I was out in super humid weather, like just as well as the extra strength. I don't think there is much difference between the two formulas if any to be honest.
