So since I'm getting more into makeup and my husband is going to make me a vanity there's a few things I'd like to get...
I need a decently cheap makeup remover. Preferably waterproof (almost got some from sephora)
I need a decent facewash, I'd like something that helps with blackheads. My face is normal but my hubby has oily bc of his job and gets blackheads.
I'd like some bb cream. Has anyone tried Garnier?
Tyvm in advance. And can someone please post a picture of an angled liner brush.

Here are some examples of angled liner brushes. Ignore the brand names. You can find a perfectly decent much cheaper than these. Try walmart or Sally's.

As far as moisturizers go I have used oil of olay forever. The only other moisturizer I have used is ambi a product for women of color.

I find that the thinner brushes are easier for me to get a semi-straight line. :-) I have a few the one I also go back to is a cheap one from a brush multi-pack I got from Wal-Mart. It was pretty short actually but it gave me more control.

Ty sevetria =) Regina Ty I'll see if the dollar store has any. I was looking at brush sets last night at a Walmart. They had real techniques and eco tools. I almost died when I seen how much 1 brush of rt went for lol but I want to get a decent set =/ also as far as lip brushes, what do you like (pictures please)? Bc I noticed some are long and thin and I found that hard to work with that's why I just use the lipstick to put lipstick on with. Gel liner brushes seem like they would be easier to apply with.

I second that Traci. I have my husband use this one. He has some blackheads but not a lot. Doesn't really have oily skin and very few breakouts at all. He seems to like it since it's specifically for men too.

I have been interested in the new Garnier Clean Plus line too. @Traci- do you think this one would work for Michele's husband?

Ty Traci.. It still works nice if you don't have a lot of blackheads?

My boyfriend bought me this foiled glitter eyeshadow from Sephora and she gave me a sample of their makeup remover. It's Sephora brand, the bottle is clear and the actual liquid is blue. It's phenomenal. I haven't run out yet because a little goes a looooong way. It works so well.
I just looked it up to give you pricing and I am shocked. It's so cheap.
It comes in two sizes. 1.69 oz (this is the size she gave me) and it cost $7.
The next size is 4.2oz and that cost $10.50.
I honestly expected this product to cost $30. I didn't know it was so cheap.
I also agree with Regina's post about the angled eyeliner brush. I bought mine from Walmart, it cost me $2 and some change. I initially purchased it to use to fill in my brows but I loved it so much I went and got another one for when I clean up my brows with concealer. It's one of my favorite brushes and you can't beat the price.

Here's what the makeup remover looks like. It's not just for eyes, I also use it on my face. :-)

You are welcome Michele. And I agree, sometimes the prices of brushes takes my breath away. Until just a few years ago I never really cared about them and now I feel like a brush hoarder. Lol. I can't lie, I'm addicted. But I am finding that everyone that I've talked to on here has been right. Good quality brushes makes a difference in your makeup application. And it's not just about owning it because of the brand name. I recently ordered some Italian Badger brushes from Crown (thanks Miss Jacqueline!). Can't wait for them to arrive. Every single brush I ordered was under $5.

For BB cream I sometimes use the Garnier one. It is honestly the only one I will use alone. It gives me a pretty decent coverage.

Here's my two liner brushes... I much prefer the smaller rounded brush then the angled one, as you can tell it looks more well used lol I got it in a set with the maybelinne gel liner which I also love. I saw some really soft full set brushes at shoppers drug mart in the city for $30 and there was I think 12 brushes in the set. But I don't recall the brand :( but they were really really soft.

Antonia thats the one I was going to get. I'll keep looking for brushes. Idk if mom sent me a Sally gift card, if so I'll look at their singles again. I did get one that was 6.99 I believe. I'm glad I got it!

As for the lip brush, I have one but never use it, I use my pinkie and dab my lips... So much the wrong way... But what ever.

Naomi I wouldn't mind splurging a little for maybelline. I don't ever get to go to target
