How to apply lipstick? you take the stick and smooth it right on your lips as if you are filling in a coloring page. that's how you apply lipstick...

I know a lot of girls first apply concealer or foundation to their lips to help the lipstick last longer. I've never tried it personally, so I can't be certain on how well this works.

One old trick I swear by is to outline the lips with a good quality concealer, it makes sure your lipstick doesn't bleed and makes it appear neat and professionally done. :)

What I like to do is apply lip liner then apply the first layer of lipstick, blot, and then apply a second layer of lipstick. Clean up the edges with some concealer

I always put on a lip balm or Chapstick before I put my lipstick on--it smooths and softens the surface so that the lipstick doesn't end up drying out your lips (Most of the time). If I want perfect, sharp, and full lips--I start out with a lip liner and use a lip brush to paint my lips with precision. If I want just a hint of colour--I take the lipstick and pat it on my lips very lightly. If you want your lips to be a little bit more matte--blot them with tissue paper to help take out the shine, but still leaves colour (I find that this also helps the colour last longer)
Ooo! And as long as the eyeshadows are safe to use on your lips--you can always try to change your lip colour by applying a hint of eyeshadow (I just use my finger) on top of your lipstick.
Hope this helped! And have fun exploring all the possibilities :)

Make sure to exfoliate your lips and if you use a liner make sure it's not too dark. Also moisturizer your lips but not with anything too slick. You don't want it to slide off. Also like the other girls said clean up with concealer!

I do mostly bold colors such as bright reds, hot pinks, and even stuff like orange and blue... If you are going bold (like red) line your lips and fill them in, then apply the lipstick straight from the tube, and then add a gloss if you want shine. Blot a little onto a piece of toilet paper and your good! If going a little less bold (light pinks for example) then moisturizer with a Chapstick and then take a small brush and use that to apply the lipstick. It gives you a more precise line and it's easier to apply then straight from the tube. To avoid getting any on your teeth out your thumb into your mouth, purse your lips around it , and slowly drag out. Extra lipstick will go onto your thumb and not your teeth! Ok so that's about everything I know and have done/still do! Hope this help!
