After applying liquid foundation and even BB cream then contouring and adding Rimmel stay matte powder to set my make up I get dry patches all over my face. Every spot on my face shows... Any idea what I'm doing wrong or what I could do?!?

It's just built up dead skin. You can buff it off with a scrub or alpha hydroxy acids. I'd say both!!

I second what Mary said. use a moisterizer under your makeup. try applying w a beauty blender too sometimes using a brush to apply the foundation on dry skin makes it look worse.

I third that because I had been sick for two weeks straight and didt have the energy to keep up on my
skin care. After two weeks my face was hell but the brighter side is I felt better even if I looked like hell. Anyway by the time I got back to my NORMAL skin routine my face was a hot mess. I had dry patches on my face sfter I had applied foundation but a few times of exfoliation my skin is back to normal.

Just use a good moisturizer girl everything will went fine. Or if you are very much worried just visit a professional Makeup artist.

I agree with these ladies you have to exfoliate and moisturize before hand, and if you have those stubborn spots that are still flaky use a balm or butter on just the dry spot sometimes you need something a bit thicker to help those dry patches.
