I know this is probably a dumb question but is our skin type ( dry, oily, combo or normal) completely hereditary or say you have oily skin and you finally find the perfect skin care regime could you turn that oily skin into normal skin. I have been super blessed with really normal skin thats not sensitive at all so I'm not sure if its a luck of the draw or what.

Genetics :) your skin usually only changes with age or with your diet. No products really permanently fix it, and if you stop your routine, your skin will revert to it's normal state.

Some of it is genetics but there are several other factors that play into your skin type. climate is a big one. I live in SLC and its super dry all year long so its especially important for me to make sure my skin stays hydrated. more so than someone living in Florida. hygiene is an other big one. over washing can be just as hard on your skin as not washing it enough.
