Going from dark dyed hair to lighter?

So in september I dyed my hair from a dirty blonde to a reddish auburn brown. My plan was to be dark for winter and lighten my hair agaIn for spring and summer. I really love my color but its a lot of work with my roots, and I don't have the money to go to the salon every other month. I was wondering how I go about lightening it? I'm planning on going to the salon, but I don't know if I should ombre it first or what? suggestions help (: Thankyou!

I love the color it is now!! But if you insist on lightening it I would go for a dark blonde because I don't like ombré hair at all

But a blonde would look good on you I think. No matter how light you want it. I could be really blonde and I feel it would look good. Just have to lighten your eyebrows maybe to make it look right.

For the first dye try doing a darker blonde. Upkeep will be easier and less damaging. working your way to the color you want a few shades at a time will save your hair!
