Best time to do a chemical peel?

Acne has left me with some unpleasent scars and I was wondering if I should do a peel on the weekend or wait until the two week holidays because I have heard it can flake off your skin and stuff and I don't want to go to school like that. If you have any other tips on them please let me know :)

It really depends on the peel type and the depth of the peel. A light peel can last as short as three days of minor flaking, where a medium-deep peel can literally peel off in sheets for almost a week, then crumble off for 1-2 weeks. Just do your research and time you peel accordingly. I just did a 25% TCA and I am going to have a good week or two of downtime before my skin is back to a state where I can wear makeup and feel comfortable with strangers seeing my face close up :)
