Has anybody had this done I have deep scars on my temples not to bad but there sort of deep. What was you're experience with the peel? I'm going to schedule me a appointment to get one but I am scared. I do want it done because I always have to get my hair cut in ways to hide it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks lovelys C;

Hi Jolene! I have suffered from Cystic Acne as a teen and after Isotretinoin stopped working, my doctor assigned a combination of peels to keep the acne at bay and also work with the existing scarring at that time. So I undergo one 20% Salicylic peel every alternate month and in between, a 30% Glycolic acid peel. Both Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid are superficial peels, they work on the outermost layer of skin, called epidermis. Since you're saying that you have deep scars, your doctor might suggest a deep peel, which is definitely something to be scared of since it is super easy to ruin your skin forever with it. I would say that you should ask your doctor to advise multiple applications of a Superficial peel instead of one deep peel, the scarring might take longer to heal, but this way is a LOT safer. And one advice that I would like to givr you is that you strictly stop the use of any Retinol creams, peeling creams or anything that makes your skin sensitive atleast 2 weeks before getting a peel performed.

I have had a Chemical peel burn, a first degree burn, and it is really a horrible experience, I got lucky it was only a first degree burn. Thankfully my skin is healed now, but I suggest you take and follow every piece of advice that your dermatologist gives you and observe every possible caution.

I got it done too, for mu scars, I have had 3 sittings and the results are minute. I feel I just wasted money. I'd suggest you just buy some spot cream like kojivit, its way better.
