Should you switch your shampoos, conditioners, etc every few months or so? Does your hair get accustomed to the same thing like your body does to the same workout?

I've heard that hair does get used to the same sent after a while. I use two different shampoos and conditions throughout the week. When I know I am not going out I mix up some baking soda and water for a shampoo and use olive oil or lemon juice to rinse. When massaged into the scalp the baking soda helps to get rid of product buildup. :)
