Nude Lip Help?!

I see many girls working the nude lip. It looks so nice on a variety of looks and I've never seen it "overdone". However, I am a total rookie with nude lips and CANNOT seem to find one that doesn't make me look dull or (yikes) sickly...

I don't take many pics and the ones I do usually have gloss or something on my lips. Please excuse the pic but it's the only one with my natural lip colour...

Try something with a light pink or mauve undertone so it doesn't look like straight concealer on your lips. At Mac they let you try on the lipstick so I think that's a valuable thing to do.

Also, using a soft pink lipliner or champagne gloss can bring back some life so your nude lip doesn't look overly matte/dry. :)

I have the same problem, that's why I never use nude lipsticks ( I prefer colourful ones anyway).. but I think on some people nude lips looks great, maybe combined with lipgloss.. the nude tone has to match with your skin tone otherwise it looks weird..

I think if you have lighter tones skin it can look like you're sick. Some good ones I love are rimmel London Kate moss #113, Mac has one I can't think of the name I suggest you try the Mac before buying, and I love lime crimes but I don't suggest that one for you because you can't test it out.

I'll pretty much wear anything. The only thing I steer clear of is matte lippies as I find them drying/dry appearance-wise.

I love Staunchly Stylish pencil, viva glam 5 lipstick & viva glam 6 gloss (all MAC). Or Spice pencil (MAC) with coquette lipstick (Limecrime)
