Sooooo yesterday I go to pick up a few goodies at mac and asked one of the girls to show me the highlighter pen since I wasn't sure if I'd be light boost a radiant rose... She tells me I'm radiant rose and stRts to do my makeup she had no skills and I looked like a damn clown after I was so mad and on too of it because she was so horrible I don't even know what color would best suit me, I have yellow undertones and figured light boost would be better but she insisted radiant rose would be better, I felt like it was a little to light... Help 😭

...That sounds like a frustrating situation. I'm hoping you didn't buy it? If you did I'm sure you can return it with the receipt. Anyway, I would stay away from asking her questions in the future lol.

Maybe exchange it for the color you thought to be the best.

Hey Nana, from what it looks like in your pics, I'd probably say the light boost matches your undertone better but I personally own both the light boost and radiant rose and although the light boost matches my undertones better I do sometimes still use radiant rose and it still looks good, so I think either color might work for you it just has to be done correctly. Plus, the highlighters aren't supposed to be worn on their own...usually you highlight and then conceal over top. Did you end buying either one of them?

She was actually probably right, if you have a yellow undertone, you definitely do not want to add more yellow (light boost) to it, it will make you look YELLLOW...I had the same issue with Ben nye's banana powder, Iove the powder, but just because it works better on someone else, does not mean I will get the same results. I just got the radiant rose pen concealer, and I too was a little hesitant, but well placed and blended it looks great and does the job, I also use the pro longwear concealer in NW15. Give it a try, sometimes we may not necessarily get the answers we may anticipate, but if you totally hate it and aren't convinced, hold off on it, that's the beauty of being in the beauty industry, you try different things all the time.

Also, my foundation is NC40 in studio fix, I also use NC 40 in powder or C4...NC40 in comparison to NW14 is a big difference

I would suggest trying prep and prime higlighter in bright forecast.
