I get that, too, no worries. Dirt gets stuck in the pores there like anywhere else on your face. I pop mine, wash them well, and then put medicine on them (I use a proactiv medicine). Trust me, it hurts like heck, but once you pop it, it gets it over with much faster, from my experience. :) x

Pimples on or by the lips are usually hormonal.. I got them at the beginning of my pregnancy and before I would start my period. they are painful! I would put neosporin on mine.

It gets worse before it gets better! I dab a little concealer over mine so it doesn't look as red, but I feel your pain... I don't think there's much you can do.

Mood stabilizers can sometimes help I've heard but I'd go to a doctor and ask about what you could take(:

Jacqlyn, did you ever try using Advil gel on the pimple? It works for me each time, I am 25 now and have suffered from Cystic acne since I was 19. Have been on tretinoin too and although the cystic zits are gone now but I do suffer from an occasional pesky one now and then. And acne near the mouth do occur because of hormones, but you can not really regulate them says my gynec mum. For redness, try breaking an Advil gel capsule and applying it directly to the zit, let it air dry then wash off. It works well.
