love all the makeup toutorials, but when I try to re-create the looks, my eyeshaddow ends up all blended together and I just look like a mess, what are the tips and tricks to flawless color transitioning?

I find that if I put down my crease color first, it acts as a guide for where my shadows need to go. I'll do my crease first, then my lid, and go back into my crease if necessary. That way I can blend my lighter lid color up into the darker crease or outer corner color I'm using, rather than trying to add darkness over the light color and then add more to my lid to fix it. Also, try using a "blending color" (not sure if this is an actual thing, but let's just say it is) to go over your edges and make everything smoother. Find a matte shadow that's as close to your skin color as possible (or even use a powder foundation, if you've got one) so that the edges are less harsh but you aren't losing color. And remember that practice makes perfect! Just keep trying and I'm sure you'll get it. Good luck!
