Aside from black, blues look great with brown eyes. I recommend doing a navy smokey eye. I like makeup forever single eyeshadow in navy blue.

I highly recommend rockstar and gunmetal from urban decay
rockstar- deep plum ( awesome add of color to a natural eye)
gunmetal- dark grey ( perfect for smoking out the crease)
both of these colors make brown eyes pop
