I got accepted for a hair model call for a new redken salon in town for their promotional work coming up. When asked if I had any restrictions my only worry was length really. They were great, I was surprised how awesome they were & how excited they got about doing my hair. They said red red like Rihanna red, Kay awesome then they asked about shaving the side of my head. Now I thought about this years ago & it never happened, my hair is all long (bangs to my chin, face framing, shortest layer past my shoulders) just wondering if anyone has advice, tips, tricks or anything that would help out with if I go through with it and growing it out I'd love that! Thanks!

I would say go for it. It's just hair, it will grow back. You might really like the style, too. You'll never know if you never try

I completely agree with Kayli. I have always been abusing and doing crazy stuff to my hair- and it always grows back. Have fun- you can do virtually anything with your hair. If you wear it with confidence and dig it yourself, than you'll rock it, girl! I've been wanting to shave it but right now my hair needs a rest from the terrible dreads I had going.
