I was just wondering if someone who went to empire could tell me about their make up course? What do they teach you and do they supply you with the make up to learn with?

They don't teach you jack about makeup! it only lasted a couple of days :(

Just from my experience (in michigan) I wouldn't recommend empire. but maybe they are different in other states? I wish I would have went to douglas j or regency instead :(

I know a lot of people from there, none of them successful makeup artists. To be honest, here in New York when people say they went to Empire for makeup, it's seen as a complete joke.

I toured them, it was visually disgusting, they really only care about their hair course and people I know who went for hair are very good at what they do and very successful.
The place reaks of burnt hair and there's only a tiny room in the back for makeup, the kit is only mac, and I don't recommend any kit being all one brand since no 1 brand does everything right.
also you practice on yourself not models which isn't beneficial to you or your craft

I'd keep looking if makeup is what you want to pursue.

Ours wasn't mac, cuz that would b amazing! it was some cheap makeup thatdidnt even have a brand :( go anywhere but empire! they are ahuge joke!
