Hi, when I curl my eyelashes, I curl them well with my Shu Uemura curler (which are amazing). I then apply my mascara, but within minutes, my eyelashes are straightened out. It does this with BOTH waterproof and normal mascara. Please help!

Hold the lash curler under your blow dryer for a few seconds before you curl your lashes. You can also try an eyelash primer.

What Lizzy said to do & also, curl again gently after putting on your mascara. Put a thin coat of Vaseline on the rubber parts to keep the mascara from sticking to it. Just make sure its just a tiny amount & you clean it off after your done because you don't want to curl your bare lashes with it next time or your mascara won't adhere to them as well. If this doesn't give you the result your after, the problem is in the brand/type of mascara. Some brands hold curl better than others. FAR better! Ill try & research a little for you & see what kind is recommended. Keep checking thread...

Also, post after post I noticed girls saying that the "old technique" of curling them with the lash curler works best for them. That the "new way" says to pump the lash curler up the length of the lash starting @ the base & ending @ the tips. They say that doesn't work for them! That doing it the old way where you just clamp thread curler @ the base, tilting it up towards your brows slightly after its clamped & hold 5 seconds & release. No pumping. Then to repeat once you coat your lashes with the last coat of mascara mostly dry. Hope this helps you girls! I have "barely there" lashes so I pretty much just said "screw it!" & wear falsies! Plenty of length & curl there!! Lol..
