What's the right technique to apply powder on oily skin without clogging the pores? I use sephora's mattifying compact foundation 8hr wear.

I have combination skin and I just use a large fluffy brush and apply it to my skin to avoid looking cakey

I just stipple it with a large powder brush too. Then buff lightly to knock off the excess powder
