Contouring is using bronzer to shape your face to make it look thinner. make a fishy face and put bronzer on the creases also YouTube might have tutorials

^ not bronzer , bronzer would just make your face muddy looking , use a contouring product. But it's usually used to make your face appear thinner I personally love it

I wish everyone would just listen to Alma and stop telling people to use bronzer lol. There has to be some way we can get this message out to everybody.

You can use bronzer. Make sure it matte. Check out almost every popular Youtuber and they use bronzer. Jaclyn Hill is a professional and she uses bronzer to contour just watch her video on how to contour http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QKz_2ScmjUs&autoplay=1 I use it and it does not look muddy.

@alex let me just say a lot of youtubers aren't actually professionals. They are usually just someone who grabs a camera and records themselves. If you ever met a true makeup artist they would tell you not to use it because it is too warm toned. A contour should be cooler. I love Jaclyn as well but if you look her contour is very orange. It's better to use a contour product or foundation/concealer that is darker.

Bronzer doesn't give the same effect as contouring product. the contouring product should be cool toned , almost greyish meant to give the illusion of a ,shadow. bronzer is to give a sun kissed look. a real makeup artist will tell you the same.

You contour and highlight to define your face! Its more easier to learn by watching some tutorials, check out Michelle phan,Jacyln Hill,Carli Bybel! And yes do not use bronzer to contour! Bronzers are used to give a sun kissed glow! If you use bronzer to contour your face you'l prbbly look orangey and you don't want tht.Use contouring products! Evn if you find a bronzer thts not orangey it will not give the same effect!

The shadows on your face are naturally cool toned, so by using a cool-toned contouring product instead of a bronzer (which gives the skin a warm tone), you can mimic the shadows on your face realistically. 😊
